Steph came home last night sounding horrible...the scratchy throat, blood-shot eyes and just not feeling well at all. I had her get her sweats on and just relax as I went to the Parent's Meeting for Winter sports at Platte County High.
Very boring (I've only sat through about 8 of these) but important! The school is really pushing sportsmanship this year, both from the athletes and parents. This is a good program initially instituted in the NCAA.
Shallen is going to be swimming again. This being here senior year, she gets to make a lot of the decisions for the team: design of the swim suit, first opportunity to have a team dinner at our home, etc. Shallen likes swimming, but she likes the social side a little better, I think.

Steph is staying home today just to take it easy! Please pray for her that this doesn't last too long and she can be going at 110% again very soon. Thanks for reading the blog - it's good to catch up!

Hope Steph is feeling better. Ran 8.5 this am and sure glad the marathon is over and I am not training hard in the cold weather. Glad to read your blog man. It is good to keep up with you and yours.
Steph is a little better...still sounds like a man with that rough voice! I put in about 6 myself last night and plan to do another 6-8 tonight. I'm ready for warmer weather already...I hate wearing sweats to run in. Will you guys be up for Thanksgiving? Maybe we could meet you at the Plaza to watch the lights turn on?
Hope Steph gets well quickly. Take pictures of the Plaza if you go...*sigh* I miss the Plaza. We might attend the Festival of Lights in Ft. Worth on Friday...we'll see. Take care.
